Hi. This is in answer to Ramsey, who was asking about Summerows. My Hallman ancestors settled in Lincoln Co. North Carolina after migrating from Pennsylvania. What is interesting is that my Hallmans married into the Summerow family in NORTH Carolina and yours are from SOUTH Carolina. I have a book written in 1903 which outlines the family connection in NC. Seems a Henry Summerow came to Lincoln Co. from Burke Co. (NC) "about the close of the American Revolution." What are the dates on your Henry Summerow in SC? Could this be an earlier generation? This Henry married an Elizabeth Whitener on 8 Oct 1784 in Lincoln Co. They had 11 children, one of whom was Jacob Summerow - two of his children married into the Hallman family. By the way, do you have a date or place of birth of your Jacob Hallman who married Margaret Sumerro? If you see a connection, I will be glad to send you what I have. The book written in 1903 is "The Finger Family of Lincoln County, N.C. with a Brief Sketch of Saint Matthews Church" by A. Nixon, 1903. It is full of information about early families in Lincoln Co. It was given to me by a family member who lives in Lincoln Co. If I can help, let me know. Nancy Cason Garland, Texas
