Hi, all Hallmans, This is something I realize I should have posted long ago. As you know, our messages to the list go into the archives which, as far as I know, can still be accessed by non-subscribers. Rootsweb advises us not to post the names and/or addresses of any other living persons in our messages to the lists for that reason. (They, the person whose name & address we post, would not appreciate being targeted by advertisements, I'm sure--let alone other nuisance messages.) You can correspond privately with a "cousin" you've met on the list with a name or address of some "living" person. Rootsweb mail lists are swamped with spams. We can be glad they are weeded out before reaching the lists. I know how many they must receive, because I receive the ones they are not certain are spams, and I get quite a few of those!
