His mother was Sarah Halligan who was born in Ormskirk, England just north of Liverpool. My grandfather married Harriet Wilkinson of Leeds and after WW1 they came to Canada and settled. I've been told that William came over to Canada at the same time and travelled on to Western Canada and was not heard from again. If anyone has any info on him I would appreciate hearing from them.
