Surnames: Halligan Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IQh.2ACIB/102 Message Board Post: I'm looking for any Halligan's that may have came to this country in about 1868. Arrived at the Port New York. I'm looking for any link to a Peter Patrick Halligan. I'm not sure if he came here with his parents. His parents names where Peter and Ann Halligan. He may have came here with some other family members. Please email me with any information you may think might help me in my search. Thanks Bridget
Bridget: I'm sorry, but my Halligan (James) arrived in U.S., via Canada, around 1846. James was born 12 May, 1825, married Catherine McCAULEY in 1855, and died 29 March, 1901 in Flandreau, S.D. I with I could connect him, in some way, with other Halligans as I've never been able to find any further information about him, prior to his arrival in the U.S. Again, I'm sorry I can't be of any assistance to you.
