This is a new surname for me. Does anyone else have my Elizabeth Ann in their HALLIGAN tree. I don't know much about my Ellis as she was called on one document. Census records state she was born in VA Jan. 1843. Evidently she married Carl Wilhelm KIEL about 1868 but I don't know where. Carl could have been in PA before coming to St. Louis. I find them in St. Louis on the 1880 census with 5 children. The oldest was stated that he was born MO 1870. One document was stated Ellis as being from WV. Was wondering if she was born in a VA county that it is now WV. Does anyone know of HALLIGANS in PA or VA in this time frame. I had the 1850 VA census checked for HALLIGAN & found only 2 & they were in the same household. Does anyone have the 1840 VA census for HALLIGAN? Geraldine in MO
