Recently I have been going through an old box of papers belonging to my grandmother. I found, to my surprise, a Certificate of Baptism for a Michael Halligan. Here are the details: Church of St. John's Catholic Church Stamford, Connecticut "That Michael Halligan Child of James Halligan and Bridget Fitzpatrick Born on the 2nd day of July 1886 was Baptized On the 4th day of July 1886 By the Rev. T.J. Keena The Sponsors being Patrick Fitzpatrick and Sara Fitzpatrick As appears from the Baptismal Register of this Church Dated Nov. 24, 1950 /s/ M.P. Coleman, Pastor >From a search of the Social Security Death Index I found a Thomas Halligan born on the same above date who died February 1974 in Mesquite, Clark, Nevada. Is he the same person as Michael Halligan? Can't tell if he had any family or not. If there is a descendant for Michael Halligan, I can send this record [plus a letter that was found with it] to them. He is not related to me and I have no idea how it ended up in this box.
