Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/IQh.2ACIB/2.5.1 Message Board Post: Patrick J. Halligan and Mary Jane Flannery were married in the US about 1896 in the San Francisco area. Mary was the child of a Mr. Flannery and Margaret Laffey Flannery who came from Ireland when she was 2, about 1874. Upon Mr. Flannery's death in Benicia, CA, Margaret, much later, married a Mr. Malone in California. I know Patrick had brother in N.Y. but when he arrived from Ireland and contacted them, was disillusioned with their lifestyle and moved west to California via Oregon. Mary Flannery had siblings, Margaret, Daniel, John, Joseph, and Stephen, all born in CA. I know the name Monahan is associated with the Halligan family in the US.
