I have a James Hall (b.1757, he says). He enlisted as Rev. War soldier either in Wake Co., NC or in Johnston Co. NC around 1787 for the first time. A 2nd tour later. His Rev. War Pension said his wife was Edea/Edy Delk, daughter of Jacob Delk of Johnston Co. NC. However, the records say this marriage was "before 1774" and I can't help wondering if there was an earlier marrige.
