    1. Re: [HALL] HALL Digest, Vol 2, Issue 247

    3. I usually get the Wallingford, Middletown, New Haven, and Hartford Hall's mixed up, but I know John Hall and Jane Woolen are one of the main New England Hall families from the 17th century. One of the John Hall's who was an early settler of Connecticut actually came to Connecticut from Dorchester, Massachusetts. That John Hall was part of a survey party who explored the unknown territory south west of Dorchester and that party included a Samuel Hall that is of great interest to my research. Are you aware of any male Hall's of the John Hall / Jane Woolen line still alive? If so, it would be great to have them join the Hall dna database! For example, did John Milton Hall or Eli Hall have any children that are documented? In most published histories of this particular HALL family, the information stops with the John Hall who married Hannah ATWATER on January 22, 1778. Children of this John and Hannah, all born in Connecticut, were: John Milton HALL, b. October 26, 1778 Hervey HALL, Sr., b. April, 1780 (my ancestor) Mary Ann, Sep. 1, 1782 Eli, Oct. 3, 1784 Sabrina, 1785, died 1789 in Chesire, CT Eunice, baptized July 17, 1791 in Chesire, CT Hervey married Sarah Humiston HULL, June 28, 1801 in Chesire, CT, daughter of Samuel HULL and Hannah ATWATER, (a cousin of the Hannah who married John HALL.) The family moved to Washington and Chautauqua County's in New York, finally settling in Erie Co., PA. Their children were: Hannah, b. abt.1802 Olive, b. abt.1804 Charles, b. abt. 1806 George, b. Jan. 19, 1808 Samuel, b. abt. 1810 Hervey, JR., Feb. 15, 1812 Sabrina, 1816 John, b. abt. 1818 Luther, b. abt. 1819 Peter, Dr., Nov. 4, 1820 Sabrina married Oliver LOOMIS in Ripley, Chautauqua Co., NY. They moved to Delaware Co., IA, then to Jones Co. IA where Sabrina died May 5, 1880. If this family looks familiar let me know. I have a fairly complete history on Sabrina (born 1816) and her family, but not a lot on her siblings. Kaylynn
