    3. I am hoping some one here as knowledge of a certain group of Rolls. "It is said " my James Madison Hall`s Father is listed on them. These Rolls were created 1803-1804 near the White River in Arkansas. I have been given two names for them- or perhaps it is all one ? The Abigiornal---Old Settler`s Rolls Now this is where it gets complicated...and a bit hard to believe.. was told all copies except 1 are in private collections and the remaining one BIA has and does not allow public access to it. Would appreciate any info and thoughts on this....any one ever run across this Roll before ? still find a bit unbelievable... Tam

    3. Tami Someone has given you incorrect information. First of all the Old Settlers did not leave southeast TN until 1809 ish. The first group leaving with Tahlonteeskee (my uncle). There were confirmed groups that followed, 1817 with John Jolly, 1825 with Capt. John Rogers, 1835 with John Ross. The Old Settlers census roll was taken in 1851. The Drennan Census Roll was taken in 1852. It was the first census of the new arrivals in Oklahoma in 1839...aka the New Echota Group. There is only one Hall listed, Martha (GRoup 57) Old Settlers roll All census rolls are available in assorted places....either online or in publications.
