Please excuse me for jumping in here, I have quietly been reading all the emails. My name is Debbie Hall Daugherty. My father, Byron Hall, was from Van Zandt County, Texas, and was not in the Navy. He was in the United States Marine Corp for 30 years. He fought in WWII, Korea and Viet Nam and was a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross. He lived with me the past seven years and has just passed away. Thus my journey into trying to find information about my dad and his family. At first blush, it seems my family lines go up through a Joshua Hall in Macon County, North Carolina. He was born in Ann Arundell, Maryland in 1765. I admit I am a novice but am quite pleased with what I have discovered so far. If anyone has any information regarding Joshua Hall or his father John Hall, also from Maryland would you kindly email me? If this is the wrong forum to ask for help, please forgive my intrusion. Many thanks.
