Not sure if there is a connection, but my great, great grandfather was Elbert Fonzie Hall.? He was a MO resident at that time and was killed at the Battle of Pilot Knob (MO) on 9-27-1864.? It is my understanding that his family had moved from the Carolina's to MO, but I don't have any specific information to confirm that.
