Many of the Halls in Logan county KY were in White County IL in 1820. My great great grandfather, William M. Hall, was born in IL in 1818, where? I do not know. But he came into Hamilton County in 1842 and married Rebecca Jane Warfield. Their children: James, Nancy Jane, Leonard, William, George Mathias (my line), Mary Artemissa, Charles. My greatgrandmother claimed we were VA Halls and descendents of Lyman Hall. William M. (matthew/mathias) Hall had a sister, Julia Ann/Julie Ann, who married Garret Maulding in Hamilton/Franklin IL in 1838. Her first son was also a James. She listed her father as born in NC.
