The Wilcox/Hall family farm has been in our family for about 179 years Generations = 1 Garland Hall- b. 1776, whom Hall cemetery is named after- came to Macon County, IL. in 1830 & settled in township 15,section19 somewhere northwest of the present cemetery. 2 His daughter, Margeret Hall- b. 1806, married Andrew Hamilton. 3 Their daughter, Emily Hamilton- b. 1842, married Nimrod Bowles. 4 Their daughter, Mary Bowles- b. 1872, married Albert Wilcox. 5 Their son, Robert Wilcox- 1917, married June Uhll. 6 Their son, Trent Wilcox- 1952, married Penny Miesenhelter. 7 Their children, Lynn Wilcox- b. 1968, Kari Foster & Mindy Damery. 8 Their Children Kayla, Wyatt, Pagie, Katie, Taylor & Jessie. Garland came from Kentucky = http://macon.ilgenweb.net/blmound.html "Garland Hall, a native of Kentucky, in 1830 emigrated to, and settled on section 29 of this township about two miles north of the present town of Blue Mound, where he erected a cabin, broke some land, fenced it in and began farming. He brought with him a small-sized family. Wyett Cherry who was an early settler in this locality, is still residing a short distance north-west of the town of Blue Mound" Hall Cemetary, outside of Blue Mound, IL & boardering our family farm, is named after him. Supposedly because he donated some of the ground for it. We have also seen were Garland's name was spelled Garlant. Whoever Had this Garland Hall, I can't pull up the website today.I wanted to tell you it was probably Garland as they were a well known family in Ky.
