    1. Richard Hall, Montgomery Co., VA 1740's +
    2. Hello, ISO any info regarding Richard Hall of Montgomery Co., VA. He resided near Draper's Meadow, along Meadow Creek (according to Deeds). He was visited by several prominent men - Sir Christopher Gist, Col. Wm. Preston, and possibly Geo. Washington during his trips of surveying and fort inspections. I need to know if there was a will for Richard. I believe he died late 1700's. I need something that names his children. Several of us have been trying to connect our Hall's of Catawba Valley - Botetourt Co. (now Roanoke Co.) to the Hall's of Rockbridge Co. As of now, we unfortunately, cannot make the connection. This Richard Hall was closer to the Catawba Valley and maybe our Hall's are connected to him. Any help in naming Richard's children would be most helpful! BTW, if any of you are using the Hall story in the book, "Places Near the Mountains," the story is basically bogus. Email me privately if you are using this story and would like corrections. Peace & Light, Cindy
