To those searching for info about Fenton Hall family, Recently there have been several postings regarding this family and last week at the library I came across this will so am posting it in the hope that it will be of help to some one. FENTON HALL, SR. Estate of Fenton Hall, Sr. Box 116 Pack 3437, Probate Judge Office. Abbeville, S.C. Est. admr. 2 Nov. 1848 by Jesse W. Norris, Robert B. Norris, John Clinkscales, Ezekiel Hall who are bound unto David Lesly, Ord. in the sum of $3,000.00 Died 23 Oct. 1848. ( A letter) from Crawfordville, Miss. dated August 25/72. Dear Mother and sisters and brothers, a few lines to let you know me and Rebecca is well hoping these lines come to hand it may find you well received your letter of the 10 of Aug. was glad to hear from you Mother wanted me to let you know about my claim on the land you can sell or rent which is best you think How is G. W. Hall and his family W. N. Hall and the rest of the family where is Sarah and what is she doing How is the Preachers at First Creek and Rocky River I am going to send for my letter I think I will settle myself here Give my best respect to Uncle Billy Tucker and Aunt I remain your son and brother until death...
