I hope that no one will be annoyed with the amount of stuff I'm about to post. (I'm on two other lists who are currently having debates over this). Here is the reasoning: I have been searching for information on Newton John (or John Newton, depending on which record you're looking at)HALL who married Famy Ann GREEN. I have been able to find very little. We are specifically looking for a link to his father and further back if possible. This is the information we have: Newton John HALL born Sept 1847 in Tennessee 1900 Census puts him in Sunset, Montague county, TX This census also his father's place of birth as North Carolina and his mother from Tennessee. Finally in 1860 census for TN I came upon some possibilities. I am trying to eliminate or confirm one of these as being his family. Hence the reason for the posting. Newton would have been between 12 -15 years during this census. If anyone can tell me anything about the following families, it would help me to either confirm or eliminate the ties, I hope. 1.
