I've been a "silent partner" for some time while searching for my relatives through different tips from this list, through "snail mail", and have had wonderful luck through Marilyn Labbe, Research Director of the Killingly History Center in CT, and the City Clerk in Worcester, MA. My family had taken my Dad's family notes and stories as the absolute truth, but we've found that he only had part of the story. I now know that my great-great grandfather was Ebenezer Hall, who was married twice; first, to a Thankful Casey, with whom he had 3 sons (Ezek, Jared & Alvah). Through his second wife, Hannah Shippee, he had (among other children) my great-grandfather, Alfred D. Hall. (Others were Freeman, Thankful, Harriet & Martha Jane). I learned that Alfred D. also married twice; the first time to Eveline Fuller, the second time to my great-grandmother, Eliza Slate Ellingwood. I have most of the birth/death/marriage dates on these relatives, as well as cemetery listings on a lot of them, if any of the names strike a chord with anyone. I'm so appreciative of the kindness of others -- I'm such a novice that I feel sometimes I ask dumb questions. I've got a long way to go, but receiving a certified copy of Alfred D. & Eliza's marriage certificate this week has given me a fresh breath of life. --Dorothy Hall Knight
