George Hall was a Revolutionary War soldier who moved to Haywood Co., NC after the war. He was married to Betty Cowan. He had the following children in the Haywood Co., area. Phoebe Hall 1809 married Henry Johnson in 1825 Joseph Hall 1794 John Hall 1795 married Sallie Phillips Hannah Hall married Benjamin Silas Thomas Hall, died young from falling into a vat of boiling lard Peggy Hall married William Cole George Hall married Eliza Clark Deborah Hall married Jessie Palmer George is buried in Canton in Haywood Co., NC. Supposedly he and his wife came from Chester co., Penn. but I have been able to find no record of either of them. I am descended from George's daughter Phoebe who married Henry Johnson. We have found no record of Henry either. He was born 1808 and he and Phoeby were married in Haywood Co in 1825. George Hall and Enoch Hall signed the marriage license.
