I am researching JOHN HALL of Bristol, who married in Nova Scotia 29th Apr 1791, Anna (Nancy) MUNRO. In the book "History of the county of Annapolis" by Calnek, he states "he was a native of the city of Bristol". In another source, "Chute Family in America" by W.E.Chute, John HALL's father WILLIAM was referred to as "coming to America prior to the Revolution" (1776). It further states William was born in 1748 in Somerset, Eng. This was stated in a number of family references. This opens up several scenarios, but at this point I would ask for any help in finding John or William's birthplaces. John HALL's sons were James, Henry and William, in that order. Is there anyone researching HALLS in this period in the Bristol area?
