March 14, 1825 Wardsboro, Vermont Joseph fought in the War of 1812, became a Baptist missionary and the two of them spent their life in Michigan, where he established a number of churches. He died on April 29, 1880 in Detroit, Michigan. He was living with his second daughter Amanda (GAMBELL) Cotharin at his death.
