    3. If you visit the the National Archives/Southeast Regional office in East Point,GA, you can make a request to actually see the card. First things first. NARA/SE, in East Point, is only a few miles away from the Atlanta airport and about 6 miles from downtown Atlanta. It is convenient from Marta (subway) with a bus connection. I suggest a car. Reservations are required to visit the Microfilm room. But you can often get last minute reservations for that day if you call at 8am. Depends. Reservations are made in four hour intervals. 8-12 and 12-4. On Tuesdays they have an evening slot from 4-8. If you make reservations and cannot attend, please notify them so they can allow another person to access the room. Parking is no problem and free. Do not take breifcases or pocketbooks inside as you will have to leave them in a locker they will provide at no charge. When you arrive, check the micro on WW I draft registration for your relative. When you locate them, get an assistant to give you the proper form to fill out. Note! I takes about two hours for them to retrieve the actual card. You have until closing to view it. Hope this helps someone. I used to visit NARA often before my workload curshed my research time. Oh, oh yes. You can access what records are available at that location on-line! Too much for me to tell you about.
