My grandfather Matthew Fairless Hall, his wife Mary Jane (Graham)Hall along with his brother, Thomas Hall and his wife, Mary Ann "Polly" (Crawford) Hall came to the U.S. circa late 1880's. I'm not sure where they landed in the U.S. but their first known place of residence was in or near Houghton County, Michigan. Sometime prior to 1890 Matthew took his family to Illinois and Thomas along with his wife went to South Dakota. I've check South Dakota but have had no success finding Thomas.
