Dear Hall Reseachers, I am new to this listing. the following is my Hall info. from Yorkshire,Durham(Stockton-on-Tees)and Lancashire. anyway here is what I have in info. Charles Hall(my gggranfather)born abt. 1790 married Hannah Kirkbride on Oct.22,1811,at D istington,Cumberland.Hannah was christened on Sept.4,1796.her parents-John Kirkbride and Jane Gaity. Charles and Hannah had 3 sons all at Distington-(1)George ch.March 21,11813.(2) John(my ggrandfather)ch.Jan.25,1815 and(3) Charles ch.on Oct.16,1820. John(my ggrandfather married Elizabeth Abbott(ch. )Oct.12,1823 at Northhallerton,Yorkshire.they had six children-(1)John born abt. 1843- (2) Charles born abt.1849 at Northallerton married Isabella Allison on Sept.2,1872 at Eston,Yorkshire.(3) George born abt. 1851at Ripon,Yks. (4)Elizabeth born abt. 1854 at Northallerton-(5) William born abt.1858 at Eston-(6) Thomas(my granfather)born June 1863 married Mary Ann Maulson(born 1868 at Filey,Yks.)on April 16,1888 at Middlesbrough,Yks. Mary Ann died at Chorley,Lancashire on May 16,1955 and is buried there. I don't know what became of my grandfather. Thomas and Mary Ann had 9 children-(1)William 1888,(2)Fred 1890 (3)Elizabeth 1892(4)Joseph 1894 died of wounds in WW1-buried in Chorley.(5) Thomas-born Dec.25,1896 at Stockton-on-Tees,moved to Canada-died at Thorold,Ontario.(6) John 1899-(7)Margaret 1902-moved to Canada,Thorold,Ontario.(8)Robert(my father)born Feb.1904 at West Hartlepool,moved to Ontario,Canada and then Baie Comeau in 1937, died at Baie Comeau,Quebec,Canada on Sept.20,1973-married Hilda Warner in Ontario.(9)Mary(Molly)1909-moved to Canada. I hope this is not confusing. my uncle Tom born Dec.25th. was quite a joker-he told me and my brothers and sisters that the biggest mistake he made in his life was being born on Christmas Day because he got one present for both days instead of one for each.
