I have a letter, dated 8 May 1897, written to my g/grandmother Permelia Ann (Cochran) Cook from her cousin Kate Keyes in Colombus, OH. Kate states in the letter of receiving a letter from Rev. W. N. HALL, pastor of the M.E. church in Winfield, Iowa. Rev Hall was asking for family info for a book on Hall's that he was composing. He further states that "William Hall came from England with a colony and settled in VA. This William was the father of: William, JR; Richard; James; John; Joseph; Anthony; Thomas; and Sarah". Permelia's grandmother and Kate's mother were sisters and dau's of the above Anthony Hall. Rev. Hall gave his line as William (from Eng.); William, JR; Johnathan; John(father of Rev. W. N. Hall). Can anyone identify any of these people? I have no clue as to Permelia's parents, much less her grandparents. She was b. in OH and her parents were born in VA(per census rec.). She married my g/grandfather William B. Cook on 4 Mar 1856 in Deer Creek, Pickaway Co., OH. They moved to MO by 1870 (the date my grandfather Samuel David Cook was born in Randolph Co., MO), then to Montague Co., TX in 1876. Shirley
