First I want to thank all of you who offered to help me with my search. My problems are the same as all of you run into. So I am not special in any way. Maybe just not as good at research as you are.<G> Working with a handy- cap here folks. The space between my ears doesn't have enough gray matter, don't you know!!!LOL Here is what I would love to have; 1. A birth date and location for Lige (? Elijah ) Hall. Son of Joel Hall b. ca 1867 and Bethenia Morisset. Somewhere around 1888-87 I think. In Christian or Douglas Co.?? 2. A birth and death date for Joel Hall b. ca 1867. Son of Elijah Hall b. 25 July 1845. Elijah was the son of "Judge" Joel Hall b. 9 Dec. 1802. Joel b. ca 1867 died young and Bethenia married a Harrison Smith in Christian Co. I think. Harrison and Bethenia had two children. Art (Arthur?) and Syble. Art owned the old hotel on the square in Ozark for many years. While all the children were young Harrison and Bethenia left them and moved to Calif. Why I don't know. Beth shows up at Lige's in Stevensville Mt. later. It is not known if Harrison died in Calif. or went to Mt. with Beth. Beth dies ca 1935. Lige died in ca 1963-65. I think I can get death certificates for them. Lige's brother Alva Franklin Hall was my grandfather. Born 12 Sep. 1888 d. 10 May 1946 (Mother's day) of suicide after murdering his girlfriend in Omaha, Nb. I did get the newspaper articles about it, his obit and his death certificate. If anyone has any info on this branch of the Hall's I have more I would like to know. There's never enough, is there?? Did Joel (1867) have brothers and sisters? What was Bethenia's b. day? Lige was in love with a lady who did not return his feelings. Does anyone know who it was? He never married. I will be going home (Christian Co.) in March for 11 day's of uninterrupted genealogy research. Ahhhh bliss!!So I hope to be able to locate lots of info. I also hope to go to Va. sometime this fall. I will try to go to Washington to visit the Library of Congress. Has anyone been there? What can you tell me about it? I am told that Va. is the first place Joseph Hall b. 1768 shows up. Who knows. Together we can solve our unanswered questions. If I have anything of use to you please let me know.
