With all of the interest in the Hall Family right now, I will try again to locate information on my husband's family. I believe that Thomas and Eliza Hall who lived in Wilcox or Monroe Co., Al. were the parents of James Hall. James married a woman named Catherine . They appear on the 1850 census for Wilcox Co., James and Catherine had sons named Robert, George, and John Monroe Hall. John Monroe Hall was born July 8, 1857 and died in Poplarville, Ms. in 1911. His father died of the fever . Catherine and the boys lived with Thomas and Eliza after James died according to the 1860 census. John Monroe left home at the age of 13. I do not know what happened to George or Robert. I do not know where John Monroe was until he married Rebecca Jane Boone in Clarke Co., Ms. in 1891. She had lived in Sumter Co., Al. I believe that he got land and harvested timber. It is possible that John Monroe Hall was married prior to his marriage to Rebecca Jane . She was several years younger than he. They had seven children. Marvin Harrison Daniel Hall, Eva Hall, J.Otis Hall, Alice Loretta Hall, Robert Sollie Hall, Jay Monroe Hall, and Emile Hugo Hall. Does this fit into any of your Hall families?
