I just found out your are talking about my Hall line, not my direct line but I am sure this branch is a brother to my direct line. Yesterday I posted my Hall information to the list Subject: VA/KY/IL Hall's. I have my Hall's back to Mahlon (1777-1856) he was married 3 times and had 12 known children (all proven) he moved his family to DeWitt Co IL by 1829. What I am trying to find his father. Do you have any information or record of all the brother's names? I checked out my site find and found that Powell Co., KY was formed in 1852 out of Montgomery Co, KY this is 30 miles (as the crow flies) from where my Hall's lived in Bourbon. I also know from family history that my Mahlon was born in VA and moved with his parent when he was quite young. He also was a wealthy land owner, I believe his father may have been Caleb and on the 1810 census he was listed as owning 9 slaves.
