    1. Barren Co KY [various Hall families]
    2. My Hall line is out of Leonard 1730-1809 [MD/VA/KY] sons lived in Bourbon Co KY on land grants Leonard received. The question is what association does my Leonard have with the Judge John Hall. They were close enough in age to be brothers?? The following is From the book - "The Life and times of Leonard Hall" by Henry Clay Conner “It is difficult to understand why Leonard Hall didn't migrate to East Central Kentucky to develop his land grants, but the record shows he settled in Barren County, which lies 150 miles to the southwest on the Tennessee Border. Someone or something must have influenced his decision; but, to date, I have nothing in my records to determine the reason. I suspect he was related to John Hall, a wealthy Judge in Barren County, prevailed upon Leonard to join him." I found some "old" research on John Hall and it stated he was born in Scotland?? "Descendants of John Hall 1 John Hall b: 02 February 1748/49 Scotland d:25 Sept 1808 Barren Co., Ky.Buried: Hall Cemetery, Barren Co., Ky." Would love to get some feedback on this one. I have always said genealogy is like putting together a puzzle just when you think you have a good start someone tosses in a lot of "sky blue" pieces that do not fit. Thanks Barbara
