My Hall' line is Leonard (MD/VA/KY 1730-1809) throughout his son Caleb (1753-1830) I found in the book "Life & Times of Leonard Hall" by Henry Clay Conner [Very well documented] that my Caleb worked with Daniel Boone [see below]. I have another line that also worked with Daniel Boone so my interest has "doubled" in this area. I just found in the "History of Western North Carolina" - Chapter IV - Daniel Boone by John Preston Arthur, 1914 the following: "Benjamin Cutbirth, who had married Boone's niece, and several others, went west as far as the Mississippi, crossing the mountains and returning before 1769; and that Boone himself, and William Hall, his friend, and, possibly, Squire Boone, Daniel's brother, in the fall of 1767...." DOES ANYONE KNOW who this William is? Leonard had a son William but he was born in 1756. I know Leonard had business with Daniel Boone what I would like to find out is the William above possible a brother? Leonard's sons did not work with Daniel until 1783. >From the book Life & Times: "In transcribing the surveys, I found that part of the land was located just three miles N.W. of Daniel Boone's, which indicated to me that Caleb HalI and Leonard Hall, Jr., not only worked with Daniel Boon, but must have also lived with him at Boone's settlement during the time the surveys were being made, January 28, 1783 - July 28, 1783."
