Hi, List: >From an unsigned manuscript, I found the following references to Halls from the mid-atlantic region. (there is absolutely no more info about them in the MS., but I hope this will be helpful to a Hall researcher.) 1) David Hall (1714 - Dec. 24, 1772) Printer and Bookseller was a native of Edinburgh, Scotland. In 1743 he emigrated to America and served as a journeyman for Benjamin Franklin, in Phila. He became Benjamin Franklin's partner in 1748 as well as a Printer and Publisher. In 1766, Franklin sold his share of the Partnership to David. David married ---Lacock Jan 7, 1748. 2) John Hall (1722 - 1828) married Sarah Parry. Issue: Rev. Thomas. John is listed as of Tacony, Phila., Pa. 3) Rev. Thomas Hall (1750 - 1828) son of John and Sarah ([sic]Parry took charge of an important parish in Virginia. He had a large acquaintance in Virginia and the Maryland Family of Halls went to Virginia induced by him. Among them were his first cousins, Dr. Jacob and Mary Parry Hall, who became President of the First Methodist College, although he was an Episcopalian; Dr. Elisha Hall, who married Caroline Carter and lived in Fredericksburg, Va; Elihu Hall, who married Mildred Ball of Virginia and who removed to Richmond Co., Va; and Dr. John Hall who lived in Virginia and served on Washington's Staff. The last three named were sons of Elisha and Ruth Hall of the Tacony, Phila. Family.
