    3. SOME THOMPSON DEATHS IN KENTUCKY 1833 AND 1848 In total 272 whites, 184 slaves, and 46 free-blacks died in the four wards of Lexington, Kentucky, from June 1 to August 1, 1833. Most of these deaths were caused by cholera. This list was reported to the City Council of Lexington by a committee appointed for that purposes.... It was published in the Lexington Observer and Reported Thursday August 22, 1833. First Ward, Lexington. Main Cross Street. Samuel Thompson died of cholera during the summer of 1833. (Others living on same street who also died: Mrs. Catharine Loney, wife of Hugh Loney; Mrs. Catharine Loney, mother of same; Mrs. Bridges, widow of John B. Bridges; Mrs. Elizabeth Bradley, wife of Andrew B. Bradley; Mrs. Winney Thomas, widow; Mrs. Williamson, wife of Lewis H. Williamson; Miss Mary Ann Nixon; Moses S. Hall; Mrs. Harriet Berryman; Mrs. Walker, wife of John Walker -- at Mrs. Price's; and Mrs. Sarah Steele, widow of Solomon S. Steele.
