    1. George Hall
    2. Pat Herron
    3. George Hall was a Revolutionary War soldier who moved to Haywood Co., NC after the war. He was married to Betty Cowan. He had the following children in the Haywood Co., area. Phoebe Hall 1809 married Henry Johnson in 1825 Joseph Hall 1794 John Hall 1795 married Sallie Phillips Hannah Hall married Benjamin Silas Thomas Hall, died young from falling into a vat of boiling lard Peggy Hall married William Cole George Hall married Eliza Clark Deborah Hall married Jessie Palmer George is buried in Canton in Haywood Co., NC. Supposedly he and his wife came from Chester co., Penn. but I have been able to find no record of either of them. I am descended from George's daughter Phoebe who married Henry Johnson. We have found no record of Henry either. He was born 1808 and he and Phoeby were married in Haywood Co in 1825. George Hall and Enoch Hall signed the marriage license. Does anyone know about any of these folks? -- MZ

    3. List Administrator: HATCHER email list Site Administrator: HATCHER GenConnect Boards Webmaster: HATCHER Families of America at http://members.tripod.com/~GeneaNel/ Researching COOK, HALL, HATCHER, HOLTRY, MILLER, SHEPHERD, TIMBERMAN, ZIMMERMAN Hi Hall cousins, I have the following on my Hall brick wall: John B HALL bn c1793 OH (based on 1850 GuernseyCo, OH census) md Anna KUNTZ, bn c1811 OH. Known children are: Daniel HALL bn c1835, Benjamin HALL bn c1837, Josiah HALL bn c1838, Azariah? HALL bn c1840, Mary Ellen HALL bn 1842, Elizabeth HALL bn 1847, Albino HALL bn 1848, and Abner Webster HALL bn 1849. There is also in their household a Susan MARSHALL, 13. I have no idea how she fits into this family. In the 1925 IA census, Abner gave his father's bplace as OH, so will assume this is true. If true, would it be most likely that John was bn in WashingtonCo, OH? I have made a number of lookup requests to find the marriage record for John and Anna in OH with no luck. Is it possible that this record has simply been lost or is it possible that John and Anna did not marry in OH but went across a state border to get married? If so, would they most likely have gone to WV or KY? Is it possible that Ohio as John's birthplace could really refer to OhioCo, WV? John apparently died before 1858 as I next find Anna with Josiah and Mary Ellen in WarrenCo, IA. Josiah md in 1858 WarrenCo, so know they were there before this date. I have not found Elizabeth in IA yet, but she was still a child and most likely went to IA with her mother. It is possible that Daniel and Benjamin, the 2 older boys, stayed in OH. There is also a Daniel HALL living close to John B HALL in the 1850 census. They at least were on the same page. Were Daniel and John B brothers? You can find this family on my site at http://members.tripod.com/~GeneaNel/miller/millpage.htm Any ideas, clues, connections, questions on this family would be appreciated. Always willing to share. Cheers, Nel

    3. Hi to all, I'm researching Milly DeJarnette HALL, who was a daughter of Dixon HALL. Milly was born in Alabama (probably Montgomery County) 07 Jan 1818, and died in Old Waverly, San Jacinto County, Texas 16 Jan 1858. Milly married James E. SCOTT 14 Nov 1833. Dixon HALL had several wives, one named Milly DEJARNETTE, who I had always assumed was Milly HALL'S mother. However, one article I read said that Milly DEJARNETTE "died in 1815, without issue." Other wives I've seen listed for Dixon HALL are Ann HUNT, Milly GRIGGAND, Milly HUTCHESON, and Priscilla BAUGH. My question is, who is Milly HALL'S mother? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, and, of course, I'd be happy to share what information I have on this family. Susan Hill Husij husij@home.com Phoenix, AZ

    1. Seeking owner of photo
    2. Suzanne Leonard
    3. A recent article in our local Sheridan, WY newspaper concerns a photo purchased at a garage sale. It is a photo of a small white building, with a group of about 30 people standing in front of it, knee deep in flowers. It looks like 3 or 4 adults and the rest children. On the back of the photo, in pencil, it says: "Faville Grove School, Sept 10, 1867. Miss Hattie, favorite teacher" The couple who purchased this photo would like to return it to the original owner. Let's assist them by passing the word. If you know where this photo belongs, please contact me and I will put you in contact with the people who now have it. thanks! Suzanne
