I'm researching the McKenzie family, Margaret, Elizabeth and their father Murdock. From what I understand, there is a HALL Family Manuscript that provides a number of details of this family. Margaret McKenzie married Benjamin HALL in Montgomery Co. VA in 1799. They had son David b. 1802 and daughter Sarah b. 1803. Later, this family moved to Princeton WV, where she died in the late 1840s. Anybody know where this manuscript can be found? Rees
Does anyone on the list have any information on a Palmer/Parmer Hall and wife Amelia of Barren County Kentucky late 1790's, 1800 to 1820's? Larry Harden
I am researching JOHN HALL of Bristol, who married in Nova Scotia 29th Apr 1791, Anna (Nancy) MUNRO. In the book "History of the county of Annapolis" by Calnek, he states "he was a native of the city of Bristol". In another source, "Chute Family in America" by W.E.Chute, John HALL's father WILLIAM was referred to as "coming to America prior to the Revolution" (1776). It further states William was born in 1748 in Somerset, Eng. This was stated in a number of family references. This opens up several scenarios, but at this point I would ask for any help in finding John or William's birthplaces. John HALL's sons were James, Henry and William, in that order. Is there anyone researching HALLS in this period in the Bristol area?

I am posting again to the Hall list in hopes that someone will read this that might be researching the Hall surname in Belmont County, Ohio. I have a Sarah Jane Hall who married Hiram Franklin McConnell on the 3 July 1868 in Belmont County, Ohio. It is believed that the McConnell family resided in Belmont Co. Ohio during this time period give or take a couple of years. Do not know if there were any Halls who might have been related to Sarah Jane residing there at the time of the marriage. I have data on the McConnell line but I am stuck with Sarah Jane Hall. I would like to find out who her parents were etc. It is believed that Sarah Jane died sometime between 9 Aug. 1879 (shortly after birth of last child) and June 1880 when the 1880 Census was taken which lists Hiram Franklin "Frank" as being a Widower. I can't seem to locate any records on Sarah Jane's death, nor any burial records/cemetery records for her either. I have searched surrounding counties and can't seem to find anything out about her at all. It is known that Hiram Franklin McConnell marries a second time to Deliah/Meliah Moore in Harrison County, Ohio on the 4 Aug. 1880. Would appreciate any help or suggestions in furthering my research on the Hall family particularly in Belmont County, Ohio. Jadean (McConnell) Hopper jadean46@aol.com

I have been unsuccessfully trying to get information re my gr gr grandmother and father. Caroline Adams married William Mortimer Hall in Oswego, NY in 1860. My gr grandfather, Albert Mortimer Hall, was born in Oswego in 1860. Albert Mortimer Hall was editor of the Palladium in the late 1800's, was Mayor of Oswego in 1900-1901, returning to editor the newspaper after his term in office. Caroline and William Mortimer are buried in Riverside Cemetery. I cannot locate any marriage record of Caroline and William "Mort". Living so far away I have no way to check the probate records for a will of William Mortimer. Caroline died in Maryland but was buried in Riverside. Caroline was a teacher in Oswego but her health was not very good so she wrote articles for newspapers and magazines from her home. I have a lot of newspaper article about them but cannot get verification of info. Would like to obtain their marriage record and find out the names of each of their parents and where they were born. If anyone has any info, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joyce L., Florida
