I have an Alfred H. HALL, b. 15 Jan 1825, d. before 1913, m. 1 Jan 1861 Amanda Virginia SQUIRES, b. abt. 1837, d. 16 Nov 1913--all in Fauquier, Warren and Loudoun Counties, VA. But this is too late to account for the Squire Halls to whom you refer. Jim Granger >A posting yesterday by "Genealogy6" concerning the HALL and SQUIRE families >of PA/MD/KY brought up an old issue. Allegany County, Md Land Book B page April 22, 1797 William Squire of Allegany County, Md. And his wife Sarah sold to Jacob Marckley of Bedford Penn for 400 pounds, Pennsylvania money a tract of land Squires bought from Richard Hall who had been empowered by Henry Hall and Elizabeth Hall of Bourbon County, Kentucky to sell and called Blooming Rose. Sarah Squire agreed to the sale. These are not my family. Just thought it was a lot of land and people to cover in a paragraph.
Hi all you Halls out there, I have traced my line of the Halls back to----- Reuben Hall born 1818 in Scott Co Va. who married Mahala Bentley born 1822. Does anyone have or know about a genealogy book by Whitelaw ? It could be a family book written about Powells , Halls , Jones and /or Savage. Thank you , Gerri Ann
Your letter strikes me because of the Moore mention. William Hall from Mecklenburg Co., VA, died 1799 in Laurens Co., SC. A witness to his will was Tryparana Moore. William had two sons named Abraham and Henry. In the 1790 census, there were two Abraham's mentioned for Laurens. Only one appears in the 1800 census, but he appears to be rather younger than the first two I mentioned. His neighbors appear to be his mother, Rosannah, and brother, Mathew. They were gone by 1810. Godspeed.....Patrick
Good morning. Does anyone have a book by author , Whitelaw ? It could be a Hall , Savage , Jones or Powell book. I'm interested in p. 237 , 509 and N103. These will refer I believe to Abraham Hall. If anyone does have this book would you mind sending some dates and locations if they are mentioned and where it can be bought. Thank you , Gerri Ann
Sorry to send this to the list, but my address for Doug Henry will not work. HI Doug. Sorry that I am so slow getting back to you. I finally got my Hall records dug out and found that I only made a note that Fleming Hall was listed as a grantee to Jno Hall 1838 Champaign Co, OH Vol. Q Page 49. But, if memory serves me right there were other deeds with his name on them too. Sorry that I do not have more than that for you, but maybe it will help. I was kind of hoping we would find that our families connected. I do not remember that you said any of yours came from Clark Co, Oh though. Connie Sorensen
RL Hall, thanks for the URL address. Unfortunately, I'm not on the Net! Would it be possible for you, or anyone else reading this message, to do a "look up" for me? I'm willing to pay for your trouble. I'm interested in all information available regarding the emigration of my ancestor who, I believe, emigrated from Wales, England to Baltimore, MD., in 1720 along with his son, as follows: John HALL, 1672, Wales--1756/65, Baltimore, MD. His son, Joshua HALL, 1708, Wales--28 Jan 1782, Baltimore, MD. John was married to a Jane RAWLINS. Thanks. Charley Hall in IL. On Sat, 31 Jul 1999 14:38:26 -0400 "Robert L.
