Hi, Just discovered this URL today, HALL-L@rootsweb.com and subscribed. I am writing this in the blind for I know nothing about it. Hopefully, some one can enlighten me on its protocol, HALL archive potential, etc. My G3GF Daniel HALL was born in Chester Co PA, c1795. He and his older brother William HALL b. c1791 left Chester Co and show up in the 1820 PADauphinCo Census as young married fathers. Daniel HALL's descendents are pretty well documented from that time on. Family lore says that the HALLs left Donegal County, Ireland and arrived in America in 1734. They were Presbyterians. So far, I have not been able to make any parental or siblings connection with the nine HALL families listed in the 1790PAChesterCo Census. It is quite possible that NJ or DE HALLs may be potential connections. I have information, not substantiated yet, that John and (Mary?) HALL, also in the1820PADauphinCo Census may be their parents. Possibly, one of the William HALLs in and around Brandywine could be Daniel HALL's GGF. Question---- Drawing on the knowledge and expertise of the reader's searches for HALL and/or other family connections in the 1700PAChesterCo religious, civil, military, LDS and other records sources, what would you suggest to be the most logical and productive procedure for me to progress from my present position? I am in Illinois but still can get back to PA several times a year. Thank you all for your time in reading this! Any information will be gratefully welcomed. Sincerely, Ray Hall

Hello CGomez; I'm not on the Internet. Do you think there might be a mention of the following in the book you have? John Hall, Sr., 1672, Wales--1756, Baltimore, MD. His son, Joshua, abt. 1708, Wales--28 Jan 1782, Baltimore, MD. They emigrated from Wales, England, to Baltimore in 1720. Joshua's son, Thomas migrated to KY in 1782/83. Hi Fellow Researchers - Benjamin Franklin PRICE, b. ca 1839, married Mary Anna LONG and had seven children: Robert M., Thomas A., Margaret L., Cornelia A., Mary H., Lillie E. and R. F. Price. I have the year of birth of all, but not the names of any of the spouses, except for my paternal grandfather, Thomas A. Price, b. 26-Apr-1862, who married Bessie TURNER, nee Tribue. Does anybody have any information on those missing spouses, especially the daughters' husbands? Ross HALL and his wife, Sallie, lived next door to Thomas' son, John E. Price, my father, in ABILENE, TX, and either Ross or his wife, Sallie, was my father's cousin. I believe it must have been Sallie because my parents usually referred to her as Sallie MARSHALL, which I take to be her maiden name, and I'm trying to find out if that cousin was a child of one of his father's sisters, or if it was through his mother, my grandmother, Bessie. If it was through my grandfather's side, it just ties up a few loose ends, but if through my grandmother's, it could tear down a brick wall for me. John

Good Afternoon, I know most of you may think I have forgotten to copy the rest of the pages I have from the Hall's Genealogy book I have gotten. But I have not forgot. I had copy's that were in poor condition and there were blanks in it that I had not been able to fill in. So I went out looking at different library for a book that was in good condition so I could get good copy's. Well I found one and it is in grat copy's of pages 180-110. I have fill in all the blanks on the first four pages I have all ready sent out on the list. So I am going to resend them out with all the blank's filled in. Then I will be starting to type all the rest of the pages for you to have. I also went and look for the a book on the record for the town of Bradford, To just see how the book compare to the town's record. I copied the pages with the Hall's name , it may have some surnames that start with Ha., but not all. I have two pages of Birth , one page of Marriages, and one page of Deaths.. I will also some of these record are right with the book as far as for the ones that are recorded . I will look up in the pages I have if any one would like .. Thank you all for giving me time to get this all together so I may share it with you all . Today I will be sending out the first four pages two at a time and on Monday you will have two more pages. Have a great day and I hope this will help some of you. Sorry it has taken so long. But I new I would get to it. But you must know we all have other things to do so time has to be put to family first (can't wait till they all leave home and the days are for me to do just my family tree!!!!!!! Hello Everyone I have been a lurker for a while hoping that maybe someone would post something about my HALL family. No luck so far so I have decided to take the plunge in the hope that some one will recognize the above name. Henry Bird Hall was born in 1850 in Wolverhampton, England, the son of JOHN HALL and ANN BIRD, in the 1881 census his occupation is listed as a "stoker" and the family were living in Fenton, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. He left Staffordshire sometime before the 1891 census for somewhere overseas, no one in the family knows exactly where but both Australia and the USA have been mentioned. So if anyone recognizes this name and feels they can help, I would really appreciate hearing from you. Here's hoping. Pam Cotton Stoke on Trent, England.
Okay, Have solved a part of the puzzle dealing with Lewis/Louis Hall. Remember he is the one that had the following earmark: In 1887 Lewis Hall was at the Wayne county, Poor farm and was awarded a $2,000 pension. His granddaughter, Mrs Hiram Smith, convinced the Superintendant of the Farm, Mr. Wilson, that she and her husband wanted to care for Lewis Hall in their home. However Lewis Hall died at 82 on February 13, 1887. He was born in Kentucky. In the 1850 census we have the following: Louis Hall 1805 Tennessee E. L. Hall 1811 Kentucky H. Hall 1828 Illinois MALE Letta Hall 1831 Illinois Female Poly Hall 1833 IL female Lou Hall 1838 IL Male E. Hall 1840 IL Female F. Hall 1842 IL Male Nan?Hall 1844 IL female We know from the Jones book on Wayne that Letta, aka Letha, married Mike Clark son of James and Nancy Book Clark who happens to be neighbors of the Halls. Any ideas for the rest of these Hall children. Any suggestions for the wife of Louis Hall?
