    1. Queen Anne's Co. MD 1820-1860
    2. Ann Jarrell
    3. I have just discovered a link with a HALL family in Queen Anne's Co. MD. Through guardianship records and two wills in Queen Anne's Co., I learned that Ann Maria ??? (b. circa 1803), mother of my ancestor Frederick William CORNELIUS, was married three times and had children by each marriage: 1. ??? BURGESS. Known children: Samuel Charles (d. 1842) and George Thomas (b.circa 1822) 2. ??? CORNELIUS. Known child: Frederick William(1830 - 1880). 3. James HALL (d. 1847). Known children: Ann Elizabeth Jane (b. circa 1832), Ann Maria (b. circa 1834), Francis Marion (male, b. circa 1837), and James. James HALL was appointed the guardian of Frederick CORNELIUS on 6 May 1843, though Frederick's mother was alive. Security of $1500 was posted by John H. Hall and Mathias George. James HALL's will, written 2 May 1847 and presented for probate 31 Aug. 1847 mentions the following children: William K. of Church Hill Ann E. J. Anna Maria Francis M. John H. When James HALL died, George Thomas BURGESS, was appointed Frederick's guardian (1 Aug. 1848). If anyone can provide more information about these individuals, I'd like to hear from you. 3. Just to pass along this response. I Emailed Mr. Blevins class for the project mentioned on the mailing list recently. The response from the class was a request to please "Stop the Madness". To date they have received over 22, 000 responses and while they are grateful to all those who responded, they are going to be closing the mailbox shortly due to the overwhelming number of responses. They also requested that this be passed along. So I am. Thanks

    1. Martha Jane (Mattie) Hall, bn. 1853 Franklin Co., TN
    2. I am looking for information to tie my gr grandmother to some Halls in Franklin Co., TN. The information that I DO have: M. J. (Mattie) Hall bn. Jan., 1853 in FCT. d. 1930 Washita Co., OK married James Andrew McElroy June 13, 1876, Winchester, Franklin Co., TN Now I believe that she is the daughter of Henry Hall and Nancy Dorrell. This is the Census information I have gathered:. 1860 FCT Census, Salem, #506/498: Nancy HALL 37 TN / $25 John 9 TN M. 7 TN (female) 1850 FCT Census, #86: Henry HALL 35 DEL Cabinet Maker Nancy 21 TN Wm. E. FOSTER 20 TN Cabinet Maker Henry HALL m. 6/13/1849, FCT Nancy Darrell. (It should be Nancy Dorrell, d/o Augustus Dorrell and Naomi, who are neighbors in 1850 to Henry and Nancy). My bet that "M" in 1860 is my Mattie, but can't prove it. In the 1870 Census, I can't locate her or her family. But then she shows up again in 1876 to marry "the boy next door". Does anyone have this family in their database? Can anyone give me any additional information? Does anyone know what happened to the family in 1870? Any help would be greatly appreciated. 1. James Hall 1700's
    2. Russell D. James
    3. Hello, I am currently trying to track down an ancestor named James Hall, from Tennessee, North Carolina, or South Carolina, in the 1700's. He was the father of William Hall, Sr. of Haywood County, Tennessee. A writing by a Milburn Hall in July 1963, tells us that James Hall was a colonel in the Revolutionary War and lost a limb. I have heard many stories about this particular James Hall--that he was born in NC, TN, and SC, that he went to Princeton, that he was a Presbyterian preacher. I don't have proof of any of this information, including which Revolutionary War battle he was in. What I'd like to ask now is if everyone who has a James Hall in their research files or ancestors lists who was born in the 1700's would send me the info you have. I am trying to find this person, but it seems that first I must weed out those James Halls who are NOT my 6great-grandfather. Any and all help you can provide would be much appreciated. I am looking for concrete sources, if they even exist. Thank you. Russell D. James 558 W. Apple Dr. Delta, CO 81416-3077 USA neri@dmea.net
