This might be old news to many, but just in case - try site at http://www.topozone.com/ for access to some nice little maps. You only need the name of town or other geographic feature. It loads more quickly than USGS - at least that's so at 4:30 in the morning. Ron Hall phillhall@msn.com http://www.geocities.com/BourbonStreet/Quarter/5221

Still searching for the parents of Fenton, Nathaniel, John, and Sarah Hall. Fenton was born ca 1750 probably in Virginia and died 1817 in Pendleton District, SC. Wynell
When searching this data base: clicking on the persons name shows you the parents. http://www.state.sd.us/doh/vitalrec/birthrecords/index.cfm SOUTH DAKOTA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH DATA, STATISTICS, AND VITAL RECORDS http://www.state.sd.us/doh/vitalrec/ The South Dakota Department of Health has recently put up a searchable database of birth records (birth dates over 100-years-old) at its Web site. Information in the database can include: file date, sex, birth date, city/county, mother's name, and father's name. Users can search the database to find ancestors and then order the record with a credit card online. A well-organized reference guide to ordering other types of SD vital records is also available at: http://www.state.sd.us/doh/vitalrec/Vital.htm. Many thanks to the state of South Dakota for putting up this valuable resource. Here's hoping other states' health departments are taking note!
Hello, I am a lurker, because my 2 Hall lines are pretty far back and I know very little about them yet. Anyway, if you have never seen the actual census images, photos of the census pages, it is definitely worth taking up Jackie's offer. I mean can you imagine riding horseback with your inkwell in tow? Seeing them had a dramatic impact one me - one of "feeling" the differences of the past 150 years. I am transcribing an 1850 census for the USGenWeb Census Project. It has taken Mr. Graves, my enumerator, 6 months to register 4,000 names. We have another Hall connected to the Gibbens family. Lydia (Hall) Hendricks wrote in an affidavit that Andrew Gibbens father was married to her brother, James Hall's, wife's sister. Their maiden name was Vail. She would be Andrew's step-mother. (James was born in 1821) Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. Linda __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I am trying to find information about Sarah and James' family. They had 11 children. Priscilla P. William H. Edward A. James M. Adella R. Mary Jane Candace George E. Henry John Sarah Ida Olive James and Sarah were married in 1841 in Mahoning Co, OH. All of the children but Olive were born in OH between 1842 and 1860. Olive was born in Steuben, IN in 1863. Adella married my great grandfather, Andrew Gibbens, in Jan of 1879 in Williams Co, OH. We found them on the 1880 Williams Co, OH census. Della must have died or they were divorced shortly after that because Andrew remarried in Apr of 1884 in DeKalb Co, IN. Do you know anything about James and Sarah or any of their children?
