    1. Hatevil Hall?
    2. Eugene Hubbard
    3. Hi, List: Can anyone provide me with a definitive source for the correct parentage of Hatevil Hall? Wentworth, in Volume I pps 479-480 of his "The Wentworth Genealogy" says his parent was Deacon John Hall ((8) John in GDMNH.) Noyes et al, on p. 299 say he was the son of (10) John (8) and Abigail Roberts, and therefore the grandson of Deacon (8) John. If Wentworth is correct, Hatevil was (10) John (8)'s brother, not his son. Thank you for your help. 'Gene

    3. I agree! We found a box of pictures in the attic of my grandparents place. Pictures going back before 1880. A few were labeled, enabling us to recognize people in a few others, but most names are probably lost forever. These pictures could be priceless family treasures, if we could prove which family! 3. Go to Wordpad and type whatever wanted. Put arrow at beginning of what you want to cut and highlight the whole message. Go up to Edit or Scissors to cut. It automatically puts it on the clipboard. Click on the MINUS BOX in the upper right-hand corner of the screen to minimize Wordpad screen. 2. Hold down SHIFT key and press TAB key until it opens the E-Mail screen. Go to the NEW MESSAGE sign at the upper left corner of screen and click on it. (It is supposed to open up the screen to paste to) TAB till the cursor blinks where we want to paste message. Go up to the Icon bar or EDIT and click on paste (The icon bar has the clipboard with message paper in a box not quite half way top middle screen). The message should appear . Of course you have to open up the new message screen as usual.

    3. Greetings from Down Under, or should I say "G'day Mate". I am a new lister on the Hall List and I have noted that all of the requests have been from American Halls. Are there any listers from Australia or UK? I have traced my line of Halls back through the Australian records to mid 1800's. My ancestor, Maurice Hall was born in Shoreham, England C1837 to a Richard Hall (occupation baker) and Caroline Walker. I do not know if this is Shoreham in Kent or in Sussex. Maurice's Australian Marriage Certificate, dated 8 January 1887 stated that he was a widower (from 1885) with five living children. I have not been able to find any more information so I was hoping that there may be some listers in south east England, who may access to records from this region, and would be prepared to do a look-up for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Be at ONE with the Universe! Brian Hall

    3. Melissa, In response to you letter on the Hall List. I do not recall Donna's comments and could not find them in the Hall list I have saved. Also, what are IGI things? We do have a William Hall that married an Ann Bott circa 1742. William's will is recorded in Amelia County, VA WB 3/199, 1783. Ann's will is in Amelia County WB 4/123, 1787. From their wills we have the names of three children; Thomas (married Fanny Williams), Ann (married John Archer), Mary Israel (married John Willson). We do not have copies of these wills. This is from information we gathered some years ago and sorry, but we did not document like we should have. We would be interested in any information you have on these people. By the way, two of the children, Thomas (married Fanny Williams) and Ann (married John Archer) are my husbands ancestors! Appreciate any information we can receive. New features include PATRIOT, the Rockefeller Library's online catalog listing the 68,000 titles in the Library, and guides to manuscript, microfilm, selected photograph and other research collections, such as the Shirley Plantation Collection of over 18,000 manuscript items. Previously, individuals had to physically visit the library or be connected to an internal network to access these resources.
