They came to Port Huron from New York. Here is the line I have managed thus far (starting at my father): Richard Albert Hall (1947-) & Janis K Hensley (1950-) Albert Verdine Hall (1923-1975) & Bernice Mae Wedge (1925-2002) Addison Gerald Hall (1895-1951) & Lottie Mae Rosebury Verdine Robert Hall (1855-1932) & Almira Stevens (1853-1920) William H Hall (1829-1917) & Elizabeth Hammond (1831-1901) Montevitte Hall & Lucy Purkiss That is where I hit the wall. The family moved from New York to Port Huron, Michigan. Both William and Verdine were born in New York but dies in Port Huron to give a time table on when the move might have happened. Mailing lists can't take attachments. However, if you got the the Rootsweb.com message board (search for Hall board), and leave a brief description, you can post the attachment on line where other people can download it. I keep forgetting about these messages boards on www.rootsweb.com Betty Pace ============ Rootsweb doesn't allow the processing of attachments. The potential for transmission of dangerous files is too great to take a chance, and it would take an enormous amount of drive space. The best way to handle this situation is to prepare a brief descent with some dates and locations and paste it into your message. If necessary, you can break it up into a couple of messages. Good Luck.

Alex, Jr. was born in 1837 in LA. I'm assuming Patsy died since Alex, Sr. married #2 in Franklin Parrish in 1847 to widow Mary Heaton. Alex, Jr. was living with John Prior Gwin (James' son) and his family on 1850 census. Mary (#2 wife) was shown on 1850 census as head of the house with her daughters from her first marriage and her son-in-law. Alex, Sr. hasn't been located on any 1850 census. In 1855 both Alex, Sr. and Alex. Jr. came to San Saba County, Texas at the same time as John Jackson Brown family and Mathias Harkey family, all residing in Richland Springs, TX. Rootsweb DOES allow attachments to it's message boards ...... but not to the mailing lists. If a message with an attachment on the boards is gatewayed to the mailing lists, the attachment is stripped from it. At least that's the way that I understand it ....... I just went to the message boards and there is an attachment button where you create your message. Joe
