Asa HALL b.1848, SC is the son of John HALL b.1813, SC and is listed in the 1850 census of Anderson Co, SC. Asa and Augusta had no children. I am interested in Gilbert CARSON b.1855, MS; who is in the hh of Asa and Augusta A. HALL in the 1900, 1920, and 1930 censuses of Diamond Hill Township, Abbeville Co, SC. He is evidently a hired hand, but this seems a long time for a hired hand to be in the family. I descend from the brother of Gilbert CARSON -- Elbert Hillard CARSON. Elbert Hillard CARSON moved from MS to TX. A letter written by Mrs. Sevier Wilson, Iva, S.C to the family in TX in 1937 indicated that Gilbert CARSON had died and was buried in the Hall family plot at the First Baptist Church. Is this the First Baptist Church of Iva? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
