Ray, Thanks for sending me4 that information. I'm trying to verify Abigail's parents, but was pleased to get verification of other information. One person told me she couldn't be the daughter of Simon and Mary Hadley, but I can't find any place else she fits in. `One reason I believe she may be their daughter is because of her children's names. Simon - father and brother, Nancy - sister, David - brother-in-law, Spencer - mother's last name and brother's name, Jesse Rees - brother-in-law, Ruth - sister. All of her children have names of relatives in the Simon Hadley family. So, until I can find proof of where she belongs in the Hadley family, I guess I shall just have to go on believing she belongs to Simon and Mary! And thanks for the information on the Deep Creek Mm. I hadn't known when it started or that there had been a fire. I'm going to be visiting Preble Co. this fall and am hoping I may find something in the records there that will help. Again, it may just be one of those mysteries that never gets solved! How interesting that your line of the family stayed right in Yadkin County. Must be a nice place to live. Also interesting is the fact that Jacob's father and some brothers came to Ohio before going on to Indiana, but no Hadleys showed up there that I know of from that family. Thanks again. Norma
