Hi Patty, All I know about my Hadleys is that there was a Samuel who came down the Ohio River on a flat boat and settled in southern Indiana before 1816. He was a minister of the Methodist faith and rode the circuit. His son Samuel was in the Civil War and was killed in Ohio. His son was James my great grandfather. Samuel, the minister, died before the 1830 census. Samuel, Civil War Vet, was married to a Nancy Matthews. They were parents of James. I have never heard of a Leroy Hadley.
