Cindy Smith sent some updates on the family of Nancy Frances HADLEY and Newton STIGLER. In the endnotes she made note that Erath co TX marriages had a mg 29 Dec 1897, Norah HADLEY md L. L. GLOVER. This must be mg of Lewis Lum GLOVER and Lenora HADLEY, d/o Amos and Margaret (HADLEY) HADLEY. However, Hadley Society records show Nora born 1887, which could not possibly be correct, or she would be married at age 10. Looking over the records of the family of Amos and Margaret (HADLEY) HADLEY, I see the dates for the birth of all their children seem to be questionable. They md in 1878. I show their first child born 1881 - not bad. But it gets worse from there. Next child (Nora) born 1887 - 9 years later, then children #3-10 born 1890-1908. Isn't that a rather large gap for a couple married in 1878? Does anyone have more detailed information regarding this family? Thanks Terry
