Hello everyone! Just a reminder from your webmaster here that the 79th annual Reunion of the Hadley Society is fast approaching! If you haven't already done so, mark your calendars and make plans to attend the reunion this year. While the official Hadley Society meeting will be held on Saturday afternoon, September 22 at the First Friends Church (Quaker Meeting House) in Whittier, California, many of us are planning to make a weekend of it. Some of us are traveling a long way to participate (I'm driving all the way from Texas!), and we want to spend more time together. We had lots of fun last year meeting each other, sharing our family trees, photographs, documents, and just plain visiting! With our ever increasing presence on the web, our membership is becoming much more widespread and diversified. We want to be certain that everyone feels included and we really need your input. Among the many things to be discussed at this years meeting is moving the site of the annual reunion. Would more people be able to attend if the reunion were held elsewhere? I've offered to host a Hadley Society Reunion here in central (Kerrville) Texas - what do you think? Would you come? Several of us are staying at the same hotel in order to be able to visit even more. If you would like to join us, contact me and I'll send you the information. (This particular hotel has a special discount rate that weekend, too!) I will be posting Reunion highlights and pictures on our website as soon as I get home. If there is any particular thing you would like to know about (or see a picture of), please, let me know. I'll be glad to include it in my Reunion coverage. (However, getting our HS President, John Hadley, to stand still for a decent picture may prove to be impossible - again!) You don't have to make a reservation to attend - just show up! We would like to know if you're coming however because we have a pot-luck lunch and need to be sure there's enough food. (But really - has there ever not been enough food at a family reunion???)
