hello, i am looking for any and all info anyone may have on my gggrandmother, Mary Louisa Hadley b 1878 in adair county ky she married in bell county texas in 1890 Peter Powell, son of Oliver Powell of ky. Later they settled in Wagoner, OK where most of the family is laid to rest in the elmwood cemetery. Together they had a large family, Mae Powell Jones McLimans, Rosetta Powell, Lizzie Powell-Cash, Elzie Powell, Johnnie Powell, Charlie Powell, Jake Powell, Hattie Marie Powell-Ramsey, Ola Powell, Willie Powell. Family tradition holds that she was full blood cherokee who gave up her tribal rights when she married gggrandfather Powell (a picture that i have of her shows her in a tear dress of cherokee style). her mothers last name was white or whited or whitehead. her father was killed by lighting while he ate lunch under a tree.
