I found a deed for 200 a Surry Co NC for Simon HADLEY dated 1795. I can only assume it it Simon who md Mary SPENCER or his father who md Bridget FOOTE. Can any clarify this? It is a bad copy, hard to read. The land description is on the North Fork of Deep Creek... beginning 'above John WILLIAM's Mill....' and '.... on JOHNSON's line...' Eventually it will go in the photo gallery at hadleysociety.org if we can clean it up enough to be legible. Thanks, Terry
