Hello, Hadley researchers, Many of you might have heard by now, but the big genealogy news is that a big database of records at Ellis Island are now online. The address is: www.ellisislandrecords.org The database is taken from microfilms of the original paper manifests, and covers arrivals at Ellis Island from 1892 through 1924, the peak years of immigration to US. >From the Rootsweb Review: "Key data available on immigrants includes name, gender, age on arrival, marital status, ship name, port of origin, and last residence." I've tried the address a few times, and as you might expect, it's getting a huge number of hits. I couldn't get through, but best wishes to you.
