Xavier Haas born 1824 in Wurttemburg (possibly Alace Lorraine), married Josepha (born 1827.) Had the following children: Mary, Theresa, Joseph, Anna, Lena and Josepha. Fame immigrated to Philadelphia. Joseph married Cecilia Luecke and moved to Martinsburg WV where Joseph started the Interwoven Mills. Xavier was listed as a shoemaker in the 1870 census in Philadelphia. He and is family came into New York on the ship "New York" on Jan 30, 1868. Does anyone know who Xavier's parents were or the maiden name of his wife Josepha?
