My father's family goes back at least three generations in the Darmstadt Germany area. Abraham Haas (b. 1805 Grohsbierau, Ger.) married Karoline VOHL Leopold Haas (b. 1844 Bessungen, Ger.) married Helene KAUFMANN Had 1 son Arthur and seven daughters. Arthur Haas (b. Oct. 9, 1880 Darmstadt, Ger.) married Claire Goldsmith in Ger. and came to the USA 1936 had 2 sons. both raised in Darmstadt. My dad was 13 when he came to US. His older brother came over earlier. We do not know the father of Abraham or if he had any siblings. We also do not know if Leopold had any siblings.
